Rita Omatsone, Senior UX & Product Designer: calm, clear tools for complex work

  • Senior UX designer
  • Enterprise + AI

Hi, I’m Rita. I turn messy, data-heavy enterprise systems into tools people actually trust. My work at Fortune 50 retailers is used by thousands of employees every day, from purchase orders to distribution center floors.

Currently at The Home Depot. Previously Lowe’s and Klaviyo.

How I work

Three beliefs I bring to every team, from discovery to launch.

  • Empathy first

I listen deeply to users, tell their stories, and design for what they really need.

  • Clarity in complexity

I take messy, data-heavy systems and turn them into clear, intuitive experiences.

  • A touch of delight

Even enterprise tools deserve joy and thoughtful details that make work feel lighter.

From tangled workflow to trusted tool

Enterprise products fail quietly: people stop trusting them and build spreadsheets around them. My process is built to earn that trust back, one workflow at a time.

  1. 01Listen on the floor

Interviews, shadowing and ride-alongs with the people doing the work.

  2. 02Map the mess

Journey maps and audits that show where time and trust leak away.

  3. 03Set principles

Three or four rules the whole team can use to make trade-offs.

  4. 04Design and test

Wireframes to prototypes, tested with real users early and often.

  5. 05Measure the change

Adoption, time on task and satisfaction, reported back to leadership.

Off the clock

When I’m not designing, you’ll find me traveling, baking, journaling, gardening or chasing golden-hour light with my camera. A little of each found its way into this site.
